Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms
By using DataFit, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the product. These terms apply to the DataFit website, the analysis tool, and the underlying API.
2. What DataFit is — and isn't
DataFit analyzes a dataset you upload and reports statistical risk factors relevant to the machine learning task you select. It does not guarantee model performance, does not certify a dataset as "correct," and does not replace the judgment of a qualified data scientist or ML engineer. See our product page for a fuller description of what DataFit can and cannot determine from your data alone.
3. Current service status
DataFit is an early-stage product. It is provided free of charge at this time, with no paid tiers, subscriptions, or billing currently active. Because there is no payment relationship today, there is no refund policy to state — we will publish one before any paid features launch, matching whatever that pricing actually is. Do not treat the absence of a refund policy here as evidence one exists elsewhere; it doesn't yet.
The service is provided on an "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of DataFit, including the free tier, at any time. We'll try to give reasonable notice for material changes, but we're not committing to a specific notice period at this stage.
4. Your uploaded content
You retain all rights to any dataset you upload to DataFit. We don't claim ownership over it. By uploading a file, you confirm that:
- You have the legal right to upload and process this data (e.g. it's yours, or you have permission from whoever it belongs to)
- The data doesn't violate any law, contract, or third party's rights
- You understand DataFit processes the file in memory for the single request and does not retain it afterward (see our Privacy Policy for details)
Do not upload data you don't have rights to, data containing malware, or data intended to attack or abuse the service.
5. Prohibited use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to breach, disable, or circumvent any security or rate-limiting mechanism
- Use DataFit to process data you don't have the right to process
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell access to the service without our permission
- Use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it for other users
- Misrepresent DataFit's output as a guarantee of model performance or dataset correctness
6. Intellectual property
The DataFit name, the Sentrive brand, the site design, and the underlying software are owned by Sentrive. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative products from DataFit's branding or codebase without permission. This does not apply to your own uploaded data or the report generated from it — that's yours.
7. Disclaimers
DataFit is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its analysis will be fully accurate for every dataset. DataFit's readiness scores and findings are risk indicators based on statistical analysis of your dataset — they are not a certification, a guarantee of model performance, and not a substitute for your own evaluation, testing, and judgment.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sentrive is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of DataFit, including decisions made based on its analysis. This is a general disclaimer appropriate for an early-stage free product; a fuller, jurisdiction-specific liability clause should be reviewed by a lawyer before this becomes a paid or enterprise product.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to DataFit for any user who violates these terms, without prior notice, particularly in cases of abuse, attempted security breaches, or illegal use.
10. Governing law
Sentrive is developing DataFit with an initial connection to India. A specific governing-law and jurisdiction clause has not yet been finalized with legal counsel — we're flagging that honestly rather than asserting a jurisdiction we haven't confirmed is appropriate, especially since DataFit may be used by people outside India.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of DataFit after a change means you accept the updated terms.
